Design and support Local and Wide Area Networks for the Mars Music World Corporate Headquarters in Florida and stores around the country.
· Responsible for designing, configuring, installing, and supporting Windows NT servers and Server hardware. Maintaining and supporting a 50 + node Frame Relay network. Creating network topology maps and network documentation.
· Lead Engineer in the design and configuration in the conversion of the LAN infrastructure from 3COM Switches to Cisco Switches and the configuration and installation of a Layer 3 Catalyst 6509 Back Bone Switch
· Network Hardware Supported: Cisco 2600, 3600 Routers, Catalyst 6500 w/ MSFC, 4000, 2900, 1900 Switches. 3COM CoreBuilder 3500 w/Layer 3 Support, 3300, 1000 Switches
· Network Diagnostics software used are: Network Associates Sniffer for LAN and WAN, Microsoft Network Monitor, CiscoWorks 2000, Lucent Vital Suites.
· Lead Engineer in the 6 month initiative involving the conversion from HyperCom routers to Cisco Routers for all 35 existing stores throughout the United States, including the design and configuration of all Cisco routers. Responsible for the setup and configuration of Network Management software for the new Cisco network. Documented all the configurations and the topologies for the conversion.
· Lead Engineer in the design and installation of the newly created MarsMusic.com Company. The initiative involved the selection of hardware and software for the new network installation. Designed an IPSec VPN network over the Internet using Cisco Hardware.
